About me.

I’m Ashkan Safari—a cross-disciplinary research consultant with a PhD in Bioengineering and 10+ years of experience translating complex scientific innovations into actionable market strategies and measurable social impact.

Academia

My academic work focused on bioengineering innovations in fracture diagnostics, bacterial detachment, and nanofilter membrane biofouling. Supported by European funding bodies—including Enterprise Ireland, the Irish Research Council (IRC), and the European Research Council (ERC)—these projects combined deep scientific research with real-world relevance.

Alongside the lab work, I explored market potential, commercialization pathways, and the broader health and social impact of these innovations—laying a strong foundation for translational research and industry collaboration.
